Tips for creating more consistent marketing

Being consistent in marketing is key to its success. However, with all that stacks up on your plate, it's no doubt that sometimes marketing falls to the bottom of the to-do list. But creating consistency in marketing is a lot easier with a few tips we're sharing in this video.

Here are a few of the highlights:

  1. Have a plan - consistency starts with a good plan. But the good news is it doesn’t have to be some larger-than-life plan. A simple calendar will do you a lot of good when it comes to planning. You’ll also want to plug into the calendar observances that align with your industry, specific dates that you want to highlight, and special promotional periods you want to leverage.

  2. Know what you need to focus on in any given time - you may be in one of three phases: Promotional or sales phase, Growth phase, or Awareness phase. Each of these comes with a different focal point and may adjust your language depending on what you’re doing.

  3. Track your numbers and know what works - not all marketing is a perfect science. You’ll need to track what works best with your audience so you know what resonates with them. Obviously, what the connect with is what you want to focus on most.

  4. Do what you’re comfortable with - If you’re great at in-person events and you get a great return from the audience, then keep this on the calendar and do lots of these. If you are better online and your audience is hanging with you there, then become an online expert. Start with what you have, where you’re at, and what you’re comfortable with. You can always add more later.
