Facing a recession? Here's some marketing musts

I am not an economist, so when people start throwing words around like "recession" and "economic downturn," I get a little antsy. But putting my head in the sand isn't going to prevent it from happening and it sure won't help me weather the storm. I know that if I want to be a savvy business owner and one who's sharp and able to sustain economic fluctuations, I better learn from others and educate myself.

Today's podcast is meant to do just that. To help you learn and gain some knowledge and know-how when it comes to preparing your marketing in light of an economic shift. In this episode, we’ll give you three things you’ll need from your marketing. This includes:

  1. Metrics dominate marketing decisions

    • Determine what’s not working

    • Invest in the right relationships

    • Dial into your marketing triangle

  2. Processes determine marketing day-to-day

    • Processes for intentional touches

    • Processes for consistent service

    • Processes for investing in return clients

  3. Planning drives marketing dollars

    • Plans are pivotal

    • Evaluations are critical

    • Clear tasks & focus are inevitable
